Where is fall?

Nothing too much to report.

We've decided to do the South Beach diet phase one again, leading up to Dave's next blood test. We both really want the doctor to take him off the medications he's been on for almost a year.

Then, we've discussed maintenance, and where to go from here with our eating and drinking habits.

We have a plan, so that's good. And, we will stick with it because his life depends upon it.

My goal is to lose the OTHER 5 pounds that need to go, and Dave's is to not only do a slam dunk to his triglycerides, but to get back to work on losing the 15 or so pounds he needs to lose.

We have not been out on our bikes for a week, and we did not go to the gym because I was down with a cold, but we will be back on track with exercise starting tomorrow.

It's still unseasonably warm here, even for Oklahoma. I have all these great new clothes from the thrift stores, but it's still to hot to wear many of them.

Pout.

There is a tiny bit of color on some trees, but things are mostly still green.

This coming week at work is "secret spook week," and I decided to participate. We drew names, and every day of the week, we're supposed to put a little ($3 or less) gift on that person's desk.

Also, the A/R team has decided, as a group (while I was at home sick Thursday afternoon) that we are dressing up as dominoes on Friday.

Meh.

I had some ideas for a costume in the back of my mind, but since I am the member of a hive, I need to buzz along with their plan.

Whatever....at least I got #9. Now, I just hope it's not going to be a hot day, because my only plain black top, other than a tank top, has 3/4 length sleeves and is warm.

My first class back at the dance school was fun. It was good to move, and sweat, in an actual DANCE class. I hope it will be a good class.

Two of the women spoke to me! (Not the young snobby ones, but the older ones--one from the class I took in the summer--which had also included the aforementioned younger girls; and one who actually remembered me from the two times I went to this same class last fall, before I had to quit because of the nursing home job).

Today, I am cooking. Chili and butter bean soup, despite the fact that it's not cool outside yet.

We must have healthy, phase one foods prepared for our lunches.

Friday was full moon, and technically, Lunar Samhain. To all those who celebrate the Wheel of the Year, I wish you a meaningful season, no matter when you celebrate the actual observance.
