We made it safely to the Chicago suburbs!
Had a great time at the music festival yesterday, seeing one of my favorite bands, Rusted Root, and also Toad the Wet Sprocket,who I love now, and BoDeans. BoDeans put on a great show. It was so much fun.
Right now, my brother in law and I are sitting on the deck out back, and the gold finches are mere feet away on the feeders.
Later today, lunch at Portillo's, then dinner at the German place in Lisle, different friends for each. Cook out tomorrow... a full week ahead with many shared meals, making the name of this vacation the 2016 feeding frenzy.
