Running out of titles....

Oops...forgot to add a title before I published this entry....

The heat returned this week, though it wasn't as intense.

After all of the rain we've had, the lawn is more lush, dense, and green than it has ever been, and completely un-mowable by our little reel mower with me behind it!

I miss my mowing days!  It's great exercise!

I also don't like having to spend the money, but am so grateful that we have "a guy."

No rain since the roof repair, so we still don't know if it is holding or not.  The bill came this week, and it was not nearly as high as I had feared it would be, thank goodness.

There is a possibility of rain next week, so we'll see.

This past week was pretty quiet.  Dave finally got in touch with our insurance adjuster with all of the details, so now...we wait.  My poor little car will be ugly for a while.  Could be a very long while.

I went for my monthly injection on Thursday, and we did NOT stop for the customary cocktail on the way home!

We are both doing so well on this low carb plan.  My weight loss has stabilized at 10 pounds, and Dave, who has further to go, is ALSO down 10 pounds and counting.

I still wish I had taken more measurements on day 1.  OH well.

My weekly menu and shopping list is a lot simpler than it used to be, actually, and cooking is far less complicated on this way of eating, too.

I am sure that will bore me eventually, but right now, I am reveling in the simplicity!

Dave is going to get outside and try to hack down some of the overgrowth in the yard.  The lawn guy is coming today, too, and I have to find a recipe for bacon wrapped scallops.

Have a lovely day!
