I've called my residence "The Dragons' Roost" for a long time. I even had a fiction blog when I lived in the condo that featured The Roost as the residence of the primary character, Brightwing.
Not much going on around here today.
This past week saw some real winter weather, and I got to shovel some snow, and we got to go to work late on Friday (with pay, and without being penalized!).
We had sleet first, that piled up so that it looked like grey snow. The sleet itself was so big that it almost qualified as hail. It looked like little smoke-filled bubbles, or moonstone beads, on the ground.
Then, that froze, and on top of that, we had heavy, wet snow.
If it had been cold enough, we probably would have gotten about 8 inches of snow. However, since it was so wet, we got about 3 inches. I completely enjoyed going outside as it fell.
I miss winter!!!
Dave still hasn't gotten a call about his stress test.
We thought maybe there was no call because of the holidays, but we are past that now, and still nothing.
He will just find out when he goes for his check up at the end of the month.
I get to go to my new cancer clinic this coming Thursday. I look forward to seeing it, and to hearing what my nurse and doc have to say about it after their first week.
This morning, I am going to try baked egg cups. I have some paper thin Spanish ham (like Prosciutto, only from Spain instead of Italy), and look forward to breakfast!
It will be an easy day at The Roost. Enjoy your Sunday, and GO BEARS!
