Eleven and three

My place has now been on the market for over a year, and has been shown a grand total of eleven times.

We change up the contract, re-list it as new, and I land three showings IN ONE DAY.

This has to be a good sign!

(EDIT: three are SCHEDULED for today... the last two scheduled showings, WEEKS ago, never actually happened.)

In other news, my refrigerator has been acting up a little, and I think, has finally died. It was room temp inside the freezer when I was leaving for work yesterday.

I HAD to leave and could not deal with it, so it sat all day.

After work, I went and ordered a new fridge. My sister fed me dinner, and I finally got home about 9 pm.
By that time, it was literally WARM inside both the fridge and the freezer, so I had to throw everything out. I had really stocked up at the grocery last weekend, so I lost quite a bit.

I cleaned the thing out, and closed the doors, and moved on to other chores to prepare for today's showings.

(I've been sick for 6 weeks...had not been doing much cleaning, since there was no NEED)

Went to bed, and when I got up this morning, the fridge is cold inside. In fact, I put a test ice tray in a couple of hours ago (don't have an ice maker), and it's frozen now.

WTF?

D says it's just as well to replace it now anyway. "If you can't trust it, it's time to get a new one."

$500 later....sigh. Good thing there is such a thing as credit cards. Shite!!!

Well, I need to finish my finishing touches on the condo, and get ready to go somewhere for a couple of hours.

It's chilly and looks like rain, so my plan to go to the woods may not pan out. I'll think of something.

Wish me luck!

UPDATE: only one of the realtors actually bothered to show up. But, at least ONE of them did.

Remember that big old avocado green fridge we had in Downers Grove? It was 20 years old when we bought the house. It stopped working twice, and both times it was merely a frozen water line. Total of $110 in repair costs. It was 30 years old when we sold the house, and still running strong. They do not make them like that anymore.

Good luck with the showings! Keep us posted! All digits crossed.
