Daffodils

I got to plant daffodils today.

My mother in law has a bare spot in the back yard, next to the house, where nothing...not even grass...will grow.

So, a few weeks ago, she said she wanted to put some perennials in there, but she hadn't the first clue about how to do it. And I said I'd help...and I told her what to buy, and I went over today and planted the bulbs.

At first, it felt like a coincidence that I would be planting daffodils on October 16th...but then, Dave pointed out that this was unlikely.

The fact that it's the anniversary of my dad's death, and daffodils were his favorite flower, and they sort of signify rebirth and spring, his favorite season.

Hm.

Coincidence? Okay, maybe not.
