Measurements

I should have taken more wide-spread measurements before I started this way of eating....  I have only lost one inch, according to the 3 spots I measure:  hips, lower abdomen, and waist.

I can feel, however, that I have lost that squishy flabby fluff all over my body.  My chin is firmer, my arms are less floppy, my thighs no longer rub together, and there isn't that feeling of "jiggle" across my shoulder blades when I do my fitness walking.

In other words, except for the lack of my 34Ds, I am starting to feel like this is my body again, instead of some alien creature under my skin.

Of course, I understand that I will never see my 40 year old body again, or even my 50 year old body....this is why I am NOT trying to get back to 138 pounds (my ideal adult weight bc...before cancer).

Instead, my goal is to achieve and maintain a healthy BMI for my age.  Right now, I am still slightly over the top of the healthy range, and just want to ease back into that top number.

We finished the ice cream treats last night while watching movies, and I didn't gain back an ounce, despite the sugar binge, and, in fact, I continued to drop ounces.

The weight loss has slowed dramatically, but is still happening. AND, I still feel good!!  It's good to know that I am already almost at my goal in just two weeks.

Dave, on the other hand, has further to go, and is a week behind me, but he's decided to stay focused on it, too.   He's down 6 pounds as well, but has 10 more to go.  I only have about 5 or 6 to go.

Going forward, maintenance will be simple.... back on track with no processed foods, a balance of fat, protein, and "slow" carbohydrates, and only rare occasions of way too many, or "fast," carbs, like ice cream treats!

ANYWAY.... in other news...the new futon arrived for the guest room on Tuesday.  It's really comfy!
We now have to decide how to re-arrange that little room so that there's adequate room for everything, including the futon when it's opened out into a full sized bed.

We might work on that some today and we might not...we'll see.  There's no urgency, now that our guest schedule is empty again.

Off to take my shower... Have a great week!
