I am so happy that we have good weather for Halloween this year!
Last year was ruined, of course, but this year, I have the front porch all ready, and am even considering sitting outside to meet the tricksters.
Dinner is already made, so all we have to do is warm it up.
We took Friday off. After an early morning hike, we got an errand done, then went and saw the new "Dune" movie (there was one other couple in the theater, because we went at 11 am on a week day, so we were safe), came home and did some chores, and, at 4:00, I got my Covid shot.
Yesterday, I did the rest of my chores, met with my international sisterhood on zoom, and spent some time on the phone with my brother, and a friend. It was my brother's 69th birthday.
I generally do not like talking on the phone. Never have..... but I did it yesterday for quite a bit of time!
We carved our pumpkins yesterday. These are probably the best ones we've had! Got them at Aldi. They're big, and they didn't rot before Halloween got here!
Dave got his Covid shot yesterday, so we are both all boosted up. He still needs to get his flu shot scheduled.
There's not much else to report. There was no drama at work this past week, and my supervisor actually thanked me for doing something. That's highly unusual.
Starting tomorrow, our pay rate goes up 15% until the end of December. Yay!
I plan to just stash that money in the savings account.
Happy Halloween, my friends, and Happy November Eve! Have a good week.
